The Cluster Manager of the MAV Cluster, Ona Bombí, will participate in Plastics & Rubber, the plastics and rubber industry fair, with a seminar entitled "Opportunities in the field of polymer recycling" where POLREC's funding opportunities will be presented and we will have the testimony of different companies that are already working on innovation projects.

POLREC aims to provide financial support to SMEs to adopt chemical and mechanical recycling processes of polymer waste and use raw materials from recycled polymers as a contribution to the objectives of the European Green Deal which aims to zero CO2 emissions by 2050 and increase European strategic autonomy in terms of raw materials for the production of polymers.

During the three-year period of the project, the consortium will support European SMEs in developing solutions related to polymer recycling, training on recycling technologies, networking and establishing contacts at international level through open calls for funding in cascade with a budget of €900,000.

The meeting point of the plastic and rubber sectors

Plastics & Rubber, the meeting point for the plastic and rubber sectors, will take place on March 6 and 7 at the Farga exhibition center in Barcelona.

The fair is supported by the main sector associations, which play a key role in creating a unique conference program that will address the key challenges facing the plastics, rubbers and allied materials sectors. Attendees will have a great opportunity to acquire knowledge and experience related to market trends, production and industrialization processes, global regulatory issues, as well as the latest advances in science and technology.
