The MAV Cluster participates in the General Assembly of POLREC in Portugal

Clúster Mav,

The MAV Cluster team participated in the General Assembly of POLREC, the European consortium to promote the recycling of plastic waste, which took place on April 26 and 27 in Marinha Grande, Portugal. The meeting took place at the facilities of CENTIMFE - Centro Tecnológico da Indústria de Moldes, Ferramentas Especiais e Plásticos.

The assembly was used to review the project's quality plan and the milestones achieved and to agree on the next steps and the dates of the funding calls, as well as the next networking events.

Apart from the CENTIMFE; the organizations participating in the project are Polymeris (France), Wirtschaftsförderung Raum Heilbronn GmbH (Germany), Plast Center Danmark (Denmark) and the Advanced Materials Cluster of Catalonia.

This consortium of partners will develop a pan-European network of SMEs involved in polymer recycling, promote innovative solutions for mechanical and chemical recycling of polymer waste and encourage the adoption of innovative and viable business models that encourage the use of recycled material .

POLREC has a total budget of 1.28 million euros over three years and plans to launch eight calls for funding to help companies develop solutions for mechanical and chemical recycling of polymers, as well as digital solutions for the monitoring and traceability of the quality of recycled materials.
