The day will gather experts in advanced materials to present the most recent and prominent advances in the study and application of high -performance steels in additive manufacturing processes. The event offers a space for scientific debate, the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of international collaborations, with the aim of improving the mechanical properties and reliability of the components made through these emerging technologies.
The Suppream project is developing new predictive models and optimization of operations for surface finish processes in order to enhance additive manufacturing in the industrial sector of steel, reduce defects and manufacturing costs, and minimize junk generation. On the other hand, the Newaims project works on the development of strategies and technologies to obtain high performance steel through metal 3D printing, integrating additive manufacturing within a more efficient and competitive process.
The two projects are coordinated by Eurecat and are supported by the European Coal and Steel Research Fund (RFCS).
